Randomly today I noticed my cories have ich when nothing new has been added to tank. What should I do? Heat Treatment? I have a picture if needed.

Here it is. This one is the worst with two having a few specks and one having none that I can see.

Okay. Cause it is quite an infection and it's a Peppered I'd choose for the med-waythis time. Be aware some meds ask a half dosing in case of Corys

My go-to is a medicine food called ich shield. Since I have started using it none of my fish have died from ich. It's safe for all fish where you have to be really careful with liquid medicines as they can be harmful to scale-less fish like cories and plecos. But it is more expensive but lasts a Longtime. My lps gave me a sample of about a cup and I've given it to them maybe a weeks worth total and barely put a dent in the sample. Might be worth looking into.

Ok thanks for all the info after I get off work I will go try to find some medicine the medicated food sounds good but I don’t think my Corys are eating at the moment.

I don't know Ich in food that needs to be eaten. Sounds strange cause the parasites in the free swimming stage of the lifecycle should be killed. I'd therefor use a med like paraguard, esha exit , or something alike.

Start treating asap !

Will start as soon as possible. It seems like it is only affecting the corys so far.

Edit: should I be feeding when I treat the tank or no?

That's quite strange to me (being the only ones and not eating).
What were the Corys fed? You can feed normally.

I can as soon as I get home. What usually happened is I would feed the other fish flakes and they would eat what they missed and then they got a few pellets when the lights went out also. They also all get frozen food twice a week.

Update: I was able to get some medicine and treat the tank. I made sure to take out my carbon filtration also. I could not get a clear picture of my corys as they are mostly hiding but I will try again later. From what I can see they all look to be at the same condition. No signs on any other fish.

I know I was just saying that as in there was no change while I was at work and unable to treat the tank.

Update and A Question: Today my corys seem to be better and more active. The container said to treat until symptoms are gone but I treated one more day to be safe. How long before I can use the siphon I used for that tank on other tanks?
