HI first I would like to say hI to you all,

Second I have a cichlid tank with 12 cichlids in it and 2 Bristlenose's and tonight I have noticedmthat one of my fish is scraping itself on the rocks and one of my other fish has what looks to be a white spot on the side. now I have some King British WS3 and was wondering if that will be safe to use on them, I have been searching on the net to try and get an answer for an hour now as I want to catch it as soon as possible.

All help would be much apreciated.
Also the Nitrite, Nitrate, Amonia, and PH are all Spot on. the only other thing in the water is MelaFix, King British Safe Water and Waterlife TropiFlora.

Thanks Mike H

First when ever you notice a problem - do a large water change. Then if you think it is ich you can raise your temperature up over 82F and do daily water changes. Continue this for 14 days. I am not familiar with the meds you mentioned but this is what I have done the few times I had ich.

Thanks I have already done all of that Bar adding salt as in my other tank the salt killed my 2 Humbugs and the only thing that got rid of the white spot was the WS3 although it took almost 2 weeks... I'm just not sure if WS3 will harm any of the fish in my other tank.

Thanks for the info.
I personally don't use salt in my tanks. It takes about 14 days for ich to be killed, that's why the recommendation to continue the heat for 14 days I am a real no chemical guru and seldom have sick fish so I can't advise you as to meds.
Not sure if your Bristlenose would survive the meds, I'll ask around

I found out the WS3 is ok to use on all the fish in my tank + I have raised the Tank's Temp to 30 so hopefully they will be ok and soon get breading, Especily the Electra's as in the UK they are meant to be hard to get hold of.
