Help!!! Betta Might’ve Eaten Sand?!?

So today, I switched my tank over to sand. I used to have gravel, but it was SOOOOOO dirty, and no matter how much I vacuumed it, it never seemed to get clean!!! I researched sand, and lots of people said it was cleaner. So today, I bought a five pound bag of National Geographic white sand, and I put it into my tank. My tank is a teensy weensy bit cloudy, but it’s fine. I put my betta back in after running the filter and heater for about ten minutes just to get everything normal, and I put my betta back in. He was fine, just looking at the sand occasionally. And then a sand covered bubble floats up to the surface in back of the filter! I looked at the back on the filter, and saw the bubble with sand floating on the surface. I hoped that he didn’t see it, and went to go get paper towels. I came back, and my betta was behind the filter and the bubble that had the sand on it was gone, there was just some sand floating around. I’m REALLY worried that my betta ate the sand!!!!!!!! What do I do?!? Help!!!

He probably didn't eat it. When I first added sand to my tank, sand bubbles would float to the surface and pop. The sand would stay floating for a bit before falling back down.

When I still had substrate in my tank, my betta used to pick at the sand and try to eat it, but always spit it back out. I'm sure your betta spit the pebble out after trying to chew it and you just didn't see it

Hello, if you give him a shelled pea it acts like a laxative & should solve the problem. Hope this helps.
