Help! Betta eating all the food!

So I'm feeding my baby betta some pellets. I also have cory catfish and I feed them hikari sinking wafers. While my baby betta is eating the pellets I give him, I feed the cories wafers. I drop the wafers in. After my betta eats the pellets, he goes down, so does my other fishes to find the wafers. After all, my cories can't eat a lot. Only like 3 bites. Any advice? I don't really want to make them separate tho.

I had the same issue get like a little cave or something only the cories can fit into and feed them at night while the others are asleep

I would also try maybe splitting the food up. Distract the fish with some food, drop the wafers, then feed the others the rest of their food. Might help a little bit.

I do separate the pellets and the wafers. I do have a cave that the cories go in. I guess I should feed them at night. But my baby betta knows and sees when I open the lid.

Your baby betta has a big appetite! Lol I’ll hand this question to a more knowledgeable person because I’m stumped on this one sorry and good luck!

Guess you could try putting the betta in a breeder box or breeding net during feeding time. Bettas are little water pigs!

Have you tried picking up the cave and putting the food inside before putting it back? If your baby betta doesn’t see the food dropping in he might not notice you being sneaky!
