Lost my danio :( | Freshwater Fish Disease and Fish Health Forum | 505817

Ive had these fish for almost 2 months now, and all of a sudden stopped eating like 3-4 days ago.
No signs of any damaged fins.
Doesnt look like dropsy, have carefully observed from the top
I have just noticed white stringy poop on two of the angels.
Thier bellies seem slightly enlarged.
Otherwise the appearance seems absolutely fine.

Adding a couple of pictures of my swordtail which is in the same tank, shes feeding and very active but it does seem like she's got a fat belly too or i might just be overthinking it :(

Medications i have at hand:
Paraguard
Rock salt (himalayan pink salt)

Please help guide me on the next steps....these are my babies and im completely lost.

Hello,

If they have a long white stringy poop they have parasites. I always do metroplex combined with food (add garlic guard), but in this case they are not eating so you need to add it in the water column. You could use either metroplex or API general cure
Try to feed them on day 2-3 of the treatment and add garlic guard as i mentioned before
After the treatment, wait 2 weeks and run a second dose of metro (by food so you can attack parasites internally where they reside). Any medicine you use is going to kill the parasite but not the eggs, that is why the second dose is needed, sometimes 3.
Last but not least, good luck my friend beautiful angels

Thanks I'll give that a try, issue being I will have to order metroplex.

For now I'm giving them an Epsom salt bath for 10-15 mins.
