55 Gallon Tank Help/advice With 55gal Tank Setup

HI all,
We are planning our stocking list for a 55 gallon tank (typical dimensions). Still in cycling phase. Would be grateful for any suggestions/advice. So far plan is:
10x neon tetras
10x black neon tetras
12-14x harlequin rasboras
8-10x panda corys
1-4x dwarf gouramis
maybe shrimp?

The stocking calculator showed this would be ok, but does this sound reasonable?
Any suggestions on number of dwarf gourami (was planning it would be 1 male and all others female)?
What order should fish be introduced to tank?
If we decide to introduce live plants, are the standard LED lights that came with tank adequate, or do we need a different light?

Thanks in advance!!!

DOnt get more than 1 dwarf gourami. They will kill each other unless they are in a very large tank that’s heavily planted. Mixing labyrinth fish in general is not good. Female dwarf gouramis are hard to find and dwarf gourmais have dwarf gourami disease a lot so they usually die quickly for most people I’ve seen that had them

I would stick to one or two mid-dwelling schools, not 3. You could up your number of pandas if you wanted.

You could do 1 male dwarf gouramis with 2-3 females if you can find them. But just don't keep more than 1 male dwarf gourami. If you like gouramis, you could do some honey gouramis, opaline or pearl. Though doing opaline or pearls would have to change your stocking.

Another thing you could do is add a pair of Bolivian rams.

I would introduce them: cories, tetras, next school, dwarf gouramis. The standard lights will be enough for some plants but not all

Thanks both for the thoughts.

Thanks for this suggestion, would you suggest the Bolivian rams in lieu of the gouramis?

Thanks!

I do have 2 male dwarf Gourami and I’ll probably get heat for it but they both came from same tank at lps and was put in last and together of course I haven’t had any issues at all with them bothering each other

More than 1 male dwarf gourami can result in conflicts. Sometimes itll work out if your tank is large enough and has hiding room. However in my opinion 4 will definitely not work out. For the shrimp, if you end up doing a colony, I would probably replace the gourami and rasboras with smaller fish unless you plant your tank moderately heavily. The gourami/rasboras shouldn't bug the adult shrimp however they will eat smaller shrimp if the shrimp end up reproducing. When you introduce the shoaling fish (rasboras, tetras, and cories) be sure to quarantine them for a few weeks before introducing them. Diseases are really really common in those fish, when you buy them try to make sure the tank theyre sold in has relatively few dead fish and the fish appear healthy, also watch for things like ich, and it should help prevent problems coming in your main tank. The order at which you add them shouldnt matter too much, just don't introduce too much at one time.
