My Tank. 10 gallon planted tank
Water parameters. PH 8.2 , ammonia 0ppm Nitrate 0ppm Nitrites 0ppm

I bought some cpds about month half ago and after 4 days they all died . First time adding fish to this tank .

This week I got 8 neon tetras to give it a second go I waited atleast a few weeks to make sure the tank was cycled I was dosing with live beneficial bacteria I've been ghost feeding as well prior.

So I acclimated the Fish floated bag for 20 minutes then add some aquarium water to the bag for another 20 and put the fish in . The fish for the first 3 hours were doing good swimming around as a group , at 7:30 I turned off the tank light for the night cause I wake up at 6am for work and I turn it on. In the morning 1 fish was missing and the rest were all spread apart. Couple were swimming super low and looked like they were struggling , and couple floating to the surface, eventually all died throughout the day. Any idea would could be wrong and what I can do to prevent this could it be cuase of to high of PH

If you have 0 nitrate then your tank is not cycled properly.

The ph is to high, I keep it around 7 with my tetras. You can buy some stuff to make the water more acidic online or at a pet store. You also didn’t acclimate them properly. When I acclimate my fish, I put the bag in the edge of the tank and every 30 minutes for 2 hours I put half a cup of water from the aquarium in.

Yes your not cycled. Have you read up on cycling? To properly cycle a tank doing a fishless cycle you need to add ammonia to start the cycle. The bacteria doesn’t work by itself. Your high ph may also be a problem but I’d ask the store your buying your fish from what there ph is. Another way to cycle a tank is with fish in. This way means testing the water daily and changing it as your ammonia and nitrite go up.
