I have had 2 bettas when I was a kid and I am very exited to get a betta fish soon. Betta fish are amazing creatures and are actually really smart. You can teach them tricks! So I’m new here, and I wanted to know if anyone has trained fish before and if they know anything about it. Thanks!

Hello, welcome to fishlore!
There are tons of betta keepers here on this forum, including myself, hopefully you’ll meet a lot of them!

Welcome Charlie! I adore bettas as do many of the members here. I have a male Dumbo named Gavin. I would have many more if I had the room! I have heard of people training bettas to do tricks, here is a link of one jumping through a hoop. Amazing Enjoy!

Welcome to FishLore

I have a male betta named Lemon, and he knows a few tricks. The thing you need to get is the R2 Fish Training School. My betta learned how to go through a hoop, jump out of the water to go through a hoop half his size, 'dribble' a basketball, and eat from my hands. I would upload a video but I can't

I'm obsessed with bettas! They're the only fish I keep and dedicate to. I'm always trying to learn new things about them and saving up for the Betta Bible. I have nightmares about them that I wake up sweating and crying. It's insane how much they influence me, even in my dreams.

Oh that’s why. You can try making some hoops with airline tubing and y connceters.
Thanks for the idea!
