i figure any position is fine as long as the heat doesnt rise directly to the thermostat. i dont know it thats an actual thing or no. i just always go horizontal somewhere with the heaters
OK. Fair enoughi figure any position is fine as long as the heat does rise directly to the thermostat. i dont know it thats an actual thing or no. i just always go horizontal somewhere with the heaters
I will turn it of before doing a water changeHaving the heater in the top half of the tank will mean you have to turn is off for water changes.
Most beginner instructions will say turn everything off before a water change. Only you can decide if you want to disregard this safety advice.
OK thanksLooks fine to me
i meant to say doesnt but im pretty sure you got thatOK. Fair enough

i have no idea. im wierd. i just feel like since heat rises that that heat will get to the thermometer quickly and provide a false temp for the tankFunny thing is a lot of manuals mention a vertical position. I thunk it has to do water is longer in contact (along the glass) and warms up more easy.

Flow / current indeed is an advantage.I always place my heater next to the filter. The idea is that the heated water gets distributed throughout the tank
Think it is designed to cope with that but I get your idea / point.i have no idea. im wierd. i just feel like since heat rises that that heat will get to the thermometer quickly and provide a false temp for the tank
