Healing Injured Fins

Figure I'd make a different topic for this. One of my guppies Hurricane, had a few chunks taken out of his tail by a tankmate (that situation is being rectified).

As you can see in the attached photo, his tail is split nearly in two, and one of his fins is clamped. He's still swimming alright and his behavior isn't too far from the norm.

How can I help aid the healing process?

Do you have a stress reliever for it

Seachem stressguard works great in helping healing fins. I've used it before and fins healed up very fast. Good stuff to have on hand.

You may need to just let the fish live. It just needs time

As long as the culprit isn't doing anymore damage to him the tail should heal up fine. I have one albino Cory that the day after I got the additional two for the school, I noticed that his tail rays where gone. Other then putting in more effort to swim he seemed to be doing good. I normally don't name fish, but this guy I call Stumpy. The picture is him after a week and the tail rays are growing back.
