He does not look well to me?

Hi
I've posted a while back that I was worried about ammonia poisoning, I think my guppy does have ammonia poisoning.
I've put him in a quarantine tank, but he does definitely not look well! Any advice?

He is in a 5galon quarantine tank
Ph: 6-7
Temp: 24'C

I do not have any other test kits

The quarantine tank has not been running but I change 25% of the water each day. He does however swim more than he did in my main tank.

Regards
Dylan

In your pictures I don't really see anything alarming, but if you're showing ammonia in your tank it definitely could be experiencing symptoms of ammonia poisoning. What other fish do you have and how are they?

Once your ammonia drops he should be doing better.

Was it in a tank being cycled are already cycled?

I have a Platty and he is doing fine
They are in a cycled tank.
He is now falling sideways?

As in he isn't able to keep himself upright?

Edit: if the tanks they are in (and I assume the guppy was too) is cycled then there's no reason it should be ammonia poisoning. Even in your QT ammonia shouldn't be effecting him to a deadly level.

Could be a problem with his swim bladder then if you're able to say he's been in a cycled tank with no ammonia spikes.

I'd recheck all levels in his tank and try to rule out ammonia/nitrites/pH swing

Because if you can do that chances are it's swim bladder disease of sorts

Yeah, unfortunately by the time more severe symptoms begin to show it's usually too late. Sorry.
