Has My Mystery Snail Aborted Eggs

Has my Mystery snail aborted eggs or is this something else. She (?) is in my cycles 10 gallon Endler tank, with 1 male, 2 female and 3 Endler fry.

20 Nitrate
0 Nitrite
0 Ammonia
7 Ph
40 Kh
30 Gh

Sand substrate
Hornwort and Marino Moss Balls
Sponge Filter and low flow DIY Bio filter

The water level is just at the black frame line, so there would not be enough room for an egg clutch (I don't think), but if these are eggs, I thought they would only lay them if there was space above the water line.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Teri

Mine always dropped a few eggs and I would see them on the substrate. Usually only like 5 eggs. Lower the water level so she can lay them. The clutch will harden after several hours and you can easily remove it.

Is there anything you'd recommend that will help the babies once they hatch? Anything I need to add to the tank or water?

Well underwater eggs might not survive but the above water eggs will if the clutch is fertile. If you have a fine mesh breeder box that is perfect, because if the egg hatched in the tank you'd have hundreds of tiny babies all over the place. There are you tube tutorials on making mystery snail hatcheries. I fed mine the same diet as the adults.

I let mine grow in the breeder net until they were big enough to not be snacks for my fish. They get to pea size pretty quickly with a good diet.

I just watched this the other day. I thought it was super simple idea.

If I remember correctly it took only 9 days for my clutch to hatch. But can take up to 2 weeks

How long a delay between the 5 eggs and the clutch? How big a space at the top of the water should I leave?

A few inches is all they need. She will lay them on dry glass or the bottom of the lid.

She will go back to lay eggs when she thinks the time is right.
