Harptail Blenny

I got my first fish yesterday after waiting about a month and a half for my tank to cycle and for my diatom bloom to die off. Its a harptail blenny and he's really active so far. He swims around a lot and isn't shy about coming to the front of the tank. You can also see my green birdsnest acropora in the background.

Oh I love blenny fish! They can change patterns and colors like cameleons. So cool to see someone have one.

Nice fish mate. Are you sure you should have that birdsnest acro in there already? The birdsnests require very stable water conditions and mature systems which are not present in a new tank after a month and a bit of cycling. Best of luck,

Matt

My wife bought me the birdsnest as a gift and its kinda hard to say thanks but no thanks to a $50 nonrefundable gift. So its in the tank and I've been trying to be extra diligent about params and Ive been target feeding it. It looks good and hasn't bleached or had any die off in the last two weeks.

Just trying to help mate. I understand what its like when you get a gift like that Just warning you not to add any more corals just yet in case the tank is still pre-mature. Best of luck in your endeavours.

Matt
