Hard Water/high-ish Gh Plants?

I've been upping my GH for the health of my fish and my Anubias is starting to express some displeasure with me. What are some good plants for a higher GH?

I have hard water and GH 8-8.5

I have hortwort, water lettuce and pothos. They do very well.

oops, I meant 20-30 GH and 8-8.5 ph

Thanks Vijay . I have some of those, I'm just wondering which ones will suffer, if any, of the plants that I do have. I think one problem I'm noticing may not be the water but rather higher light. The Anubias is wrinkling a bit and from what I could find it's not the hardness of the water that causes that, it's high light. Thanks again!

When you say GH is 20-30 do you mean degrees or ppm? If degrees that’s absurdly high, and if ppm very low. How are you testing?
I can’t think of any plants that don’t like hard water. Hard water contains magnesium, calcium, and sometimes potassium depending on what you’re using, all of which are essential macronutrients. Perhaps your anubias has a different issue?

Our city water report says hardness 130 ppm. When we had our water softener replaced last year the plumber said to set it between 20 and 30 hardness.

And looking at a general map of water hardness in Texas we're in the 7-10.5 gpg

You are welcome. There are lights which are dimmable. Increasing the distance between the waterline and the light is another way of decreasing the amount of light which reaches the bottom. Most of the plants I have mentioned are low to medium light. Do you have algae issues?

I have a light that can be customized as far as intensity and color. I have some algae but nothing that concerns me really. I upgraded my light a while back and then recently started adding calcium and magnesium to the tank. It could be one or the other or some combination of lights/minerals. It's not bad yet, none of the plants are dying or even turning yellow but I do want to stay ahead of any issue if I can. Thanks again.

This basically translates to 6-10 degrees hardness for city, and with water softener 1-2 degrees. What are you upping the GH to and what calcium/magnesium product are you using?

Not sure if you're responding to me or the other guy. I've moved mine up to GH of 13 using Equilibrium right now. When that's used up I have calcium sulfate and magnesium sulfate that I'll be using.

Please only respond to the Op & not each other, cross posting gets very confusing & the Op’s questions may get overlooked
If you have questions about your own tank then start a new thread

Oof! Didn't realize I was replying to someone else.

I guess my main point for everyone is 5-12 GH is ideal for almost all plants, a lot can thrive outside this range too because hardness includes essential macronutrients. 1 degree = 17.8 ppm and 1 gpg = 17.1 ppm
