Hellos!
Our koi angelfish seems to be insatiable in regards to food consumption. We've held off on feeding for a day or two, here and there, because they will NOT leave the plecos wafers alone. Tried just feeding them both the wafers but the pleco never came down to NOM.
Found out that the primary market wafers are fish meal based. We did acquire some veggie flakes that have nettles as the first ingredient and have Top Fin kelp pellets on the way.
I'm still concerned for the plecos ability to obtain food as we try to pull the wafers since we don't want the angelfish to continue eating.
If your fish has eaten too much, what is the best way to deal with that?
We've hidden the wafers in a hidey hole and that seemed to work somewhat but thr angelfish has gathered the courage to pluck it out of its place. I also don't like leaving them in there for water quality.
Thank you! Much appreciation for your experience and knowledge!
Edit: Haven't tried the veggie flakes yet.
