Hagen Mini Elite leaked water from my betta's tank!

This morning I woke up and water was drained all over the desk my betta's tank was on!At first I thought there was a leak in the tank but I eventually figured out that the tube that comes from the hagen minI elite(used for extra filtration)is where the water came from.The valve at the end was closed but water was still coming out!Thank goodness I caught this early!I now have to hang the tube over the top of the tank because water is still coming out and it won't stop.I just wanted to warn people that have this filter!

I've been using two of these filters on and off for about a year and haven't had that happen.

 

Thanks angelfish for that, I use 2 of these. To be totally honest, I don't use that tube and have never had any water quality issues, they have been the most stable filters I've used. I'm using on on a 4G and one on a 3.5G, never with the tube. You could take it off to totally prevent that happening.
