That looks like extra food ..
Best to vacuum it out and feed less..
What are you going to do about ich ?
I am a medicine user ..Kordon Rid Ich Plus [not the natural or herbal junk ]..
You have to kill ich or it kills your fish ..I like to kill it as quickly as possible for my fish .

I used protozin as well as hot dechlorinated water. Does that help?
Also there is white growth on the plants even though I removed the extra food

Look at these pls

The white looks like uneaten food moulding/fungusing up. If that's the case then you might need to look at your feeding/cleaning schedule and clean up the tank. It would explain why you got an ick outbreak if the tank is in that condition.

I would not use hot water ,not sure what the reason was ?
Protozin claims to work but you need to follow the directions and complete the 4 doses over 6 days ..

I tried hot water and all my fish died.
Hot water will usually successfully treat ich, but the way that is done is to heat the water by increasing the setting on your heater. Not adding hot water to the tank. You most likely shocked them at best, burned them at worst.
