Guys could u tell me if johanni cichlids can live with shubunkin goldfish?

Guys can shubunkin goldfish live with johannI cichlids? The tank is a 65 gallon which dimensions is 36”7/8,(L) 19”(H) 24”5/8(W)

I could rly use ur help guys

Sadly, probably not. Mbunas can be nasty little guys, and have the ability to pick apart much larger African Cichlid species. A goldfish would be an easy target for the Johanni.
Your 65 gal. tank would make a nice Mbuna community tank.

HI Saber. No they can’t live together. JohannI are tropical fish, requiring a high temp and ph. Shubunkin are cold water fish.
plus a bunch of other reasons

So is 1 shubunkin able to live in a 65 gallon?

Cause I have 2 65gallon tanks

If not I am researching brackish and I’ll try to keep mono sebaes

that was about the mono sebae but shubunkins can grow that big? I thought their max was 11”-12}”

I searched up shubunkin goldfish max size and I got this. Is this true?

Yes, as I said above they can grow 18+ inches, I have no idea why that site says minimum 15 gallons! :eek:

Please do not combine these fish. The goldfish will probably end up getting severely injured. Cichlids can be very nasty in particular, so even putting other types of cichlids is a risk, not to mention goldfish.

Yea for an 18 inch fish you need a minimum of an 18 gallon tank. 15 gallons just isn't going to cut it.
