Guppy Wont Eat After Giving Birth

Yesterday at about 12pm, my dumbo ear purple mosaic guppy gave birth to approximately 12 fry(11 days ago she gave birth to 9 more) This being mentioned, after the birth of the first 9 fry, she was behaving fine but after the batch of frys yesterday, her stomach was flat so I assumed she was all empty. This morning when I went to feed, shes just hovering around the breeding box where her frys are and wouldn't eat, usually, she's the first to greet me in the front of the tank begging for food. I'm pretty sure this has happened to everyone but I'm new at fishkeeping so please help!

 

Try live food to entice her tk eat she is highly stressed out

 

Don't worry too much! Fish can survive for a few days without eating. Even if she doesn't eat just yet, there's still plenty of time for her to remember that she has an appetite.

That said, yeah, live food is a good idea.

 

If she is in the breeding box take her out and put her in the regular tank.
