Guppy With Strange Growths Issues...

So I have had my guppies for almost a year now (yay), and obviously I am no fish expert but I’ve noticed something new on one of my guppies.
There’s this big white glob looking thing coming out of his anus area, and I’m not sure what it is! There’s also some brown/reddish strands coming out of three of the guppies bottoms and surrounding the white glob. Can anyone help me figure out what this is?
Should I quarantine him, and is there anything I can do to help him out?

Hard to tell from the photo, but the description sounds like they could me camallanus worms. Try looking up some photos of them online and see if they look like what you have. I hope not. I had a tank that got wiped out with camallanus worms after a struggle with TB. Ugh.

I looked into it a little and it does look like it could be worms... Is there any way to treat it, or are they goners?

Edit: It was worms... the first one who had it just passed, and after doing a little research I found out that it’s contagious. So knowing that my other guppies probably already have camallanus, now my main question is how to clean my tank after the epidemic is passed. Can I keep the same filter pads in, or do I need to replace them and start a cycle again? Can I keep the plant that’s in that tank, or would I risk getting any other fish I put in that tank sick, too? Thanks for any replies

You need to treat with levimasole every 2 weeks for 3 times total and destroy any sick fish after the treatment....some will have internal damage from the worms and will not make it.
They make it in flake or powder form, put it right in the tank and feed at the same time if youd like, its safe to overdose a bit.
1/4 teaspoon per 100 gallons should put you in the ballpark of correct dose.

Thanks, I’ll try and see if I can get my hands on some! I don’t think the others are going to make it, but why not try?

I had Camallanus worms in one of my tanks once but didn't think there was really any way to treat it successfully? If it was me, I'd probably just start over. When I had it in my tank, I let them die out naturally as I couldn't find a 'cure' when researching -some fish can live surprisingly well with the worms, and others will die off quickly. It took a couple years before all my fish died off, mostly from natural causes rather than the worms, so that's an option too -just don't add any new fish. It's particularly common with mollies.

Thank you! I may as well just let this go over then restart; I still have everything I need to start a new cycle so I may as well do that
