Guppy With, Camallanus, What Is The Likelihood That Cory And Neon Are Infected?

Hello,

I recently had a guppy hecatomb in my tank. I did not know what happened, but today, my girlfriend saw a red parasite on the anus of the guppy. I decided to take it out to do an autopsy on it :

I think it is camallanus?

SO, I just kill my two last guppies, in the hope that my corydoras and neon won`t be infected. I have many shrimps and snails and I don`t have QT. So, is camallanus is common on other type of fish as well?

Thx

Any red worms and a fish's anus is Camallanus. It's contagious, so any fish that has been in contacts with the waters from the infected fish will have Camallanus. If you have more tanks and share any equipment, they also will most likely have Camallanus. You'll need to treat the entire tank for it because eggs can be in the gravel. You need to treat it with Levamisole. Here's a helpful guide: Important - How To Get Rid Of Camallanus/nematode Worms
