Guppy problem/disappearing guppy

Imma be dicising 2 thing
1. My guppy had a mystery disease(over 4 months ago but it was SO weird im still curious.)
2. This same guppy vanished!


1. this is from when I was very stupid, i had 13 guppies in a 1.5 gal cube( my parents would not let me set up the 10g i brought from my grand parents till i got for some reason) his tail just fell off. a dark line form in the midle of the tail(not ends) and it just broke off! only guppy that happend too. he was a yellow moscow so it had upset me.(my nanas cosin had like 1000 guppies dumped on her and i got 14 from her just diping a vase in and pulling them out.

2.a month ago he vanished. leaving (now 9 was closer to 20 but some died and i had to cull one cause bad bent spine) guppy fry. the mom died just after birth. I know there his, because one is developing a yellow color,(he was the only yellow one, and one or only 3 males at the time in my not 10g) i thought he died but my parents told me none had died wile i was gone. it was not in the filter. nore beried under substrate. just vanished. I think he died and they moved him. but they always told me abought it before if one died( we had no idea how old they were,a and once i found a dead guppy buried beneath the filter because they payed no atenction to them

 

A guppy can decay pretty fast...

 

ya but i searched all over, and there was no spike in ammonia, or nitrate nothing could have eaten him, the most aggressive thing in there was him( he occasionally nipped fins) and i was gone for 2 days it cant be that fast

 

Some fish will even decay in less than a day...

 

ya but no bones? and no chemicals change? I even took a eye deoper and did muticupl test in diffrent spots in case that happened, and it was like a game of hot and cold, nope not a change

 

If you had 9 guppies there, it's likely his body was eaten by the rest. Have you tried looking around the tank, maybe he jumped out somewhere? (In case you have your tank against a wall and it jumped out and got stuck there. Guppies die in the most weird and inconvenient places...
