Guppy diet questions—what is the best diet?

I have a 15g guppy tank, cycled, with 10 male guppies. I’ve been giving them tropical fish flakes and occasionally frozen brine shrimp. I know they need algae, so will they eat sinking algae wafers? I wondered, because I’ve never noticed them really bottom feeding. What other types of food should they have on a regular basis? What types of treats?

Sure they’ll eat a bit of Alger but what are the flakes made of. Brands very extremely in quality. Omega 1 is the best common one. you could also throw in the acasional boiled veggie it won’t hurt. Aside from that youre perfect.

You can buy spirulina in flake form. Mine love it.

I usually alternate with crushed flakes and Xtreme Nano. The Nano food is very small pellets that even half grown guppies can eat. They float for a little while and then sink slowly, so most of them are eaten on the surface or just below it. However, I've noticed that even the ones that sink to the bottom are picked off later. When there's no more food at the top the guppies, especially mature ones, start looking for more on the plants and substrate.
