Guppy constantly trying to mate with Platy

I recently bought a guppy and molly for my tank. I now have 1 guppy, molly, and platy in the tank. The molly and platy are female and the guppy is male. I noticed that my guppy is following right behind my platy all the time and trying to mate with her. He is constantly right behind her and I don’t think the platy is enjoying it. The guppy doesn’t follow the molly though. Is there any way I could stop or limit the guppy’s constant attempt of mating? Thank you

Thats normal behavior for a male guppy

Best option 1male to 2-3 females ratio but since u have two female livebearers it doesn’t meet the rule requirement and usually over time the play will get stressed out or the guppy gets tired.

Idk the size of the fishes but I’m assuming the male guppy is really small next to the female molly and platy. From my experience with my guppies they get tired of chasing the females, But other way is he can get some decorations or fake/live plants for his platy to hide

male guppies are smaller, but I barely ever see them stop chasing the females. Adding in more decor will help, but that won’t stop the guppy from chasing.

Ig your best option is to separate the guppy or get some more females.

Depends on the tank. IMO if you have space it’s best to get more females.
