Guppy Change In Colour

My guppy has started to "grow" a white patch down his body which seems be expanding in a band shape. I've checked for fuzziness to see if it's fungus but nothing. He's active and eating and nothing seems to wrong in his behavior.

Since he's still so young could it be he's still developing his colour/pattern or could this be a sign of disease?

Here are some pictures. When I got him from the shop there was no visible patch at all on the little guy.

I don't think that's a sign of coloring; its a bit too similar to the location and "style" of columnaris (and in the early stages, you may not see the actual fuzziness). I would treat just to be safe with nitrofurazone and Kanaplex. Do one dose of each together (for as long as directed on the box), do a large water change (~70%), then redose the nitrfurazone.

 

And into the hospital tank he goes...

I don't have the ones you mentioned. I have paraguard, tetra medica fungistop, and Sera baktopur at home. Which of those do you recommend?

I also have aquarium salt

 

Unfortunately, those won't treat columnaris; its a pretty severe bacterial disease that can be combated with the nitrofurazone and kanamycin (the former can be found in API Furan-2 and the latter would be Kanaplex by Seachem)

 

I guess I'll make a trip to the pet store even though I don't have high hopes they have any of these..

 

you might ne able to find the API one; API is a pretty common brand. The Kanaplex might be harder; but this can be found on Amazon/online

 

Amazon takes about 2 weeks to get delivered to me. I live in the middle east. and with Christmas etc maybe even longer. Fingers crossed I'll find something in the store and little buddy will make it. Thanks for the advice!!

Oh also, I have 2 more guppies in the tank. No signs of anything but should I treat them too out of precaution?

it is worth treating the whole tank, its quite contagious. Oh and make sure to sterilize equipment and wash your hands lol; don't want to spread it, especially if you have other tanks
