Guppy Bullying My Other Males?

We've had our guppies for around two months now, its a 200 litre tank with 12 guppies in it 6 male 6 female (we intend to get more females, but we have 10 fry of unknown genders right now.) and 6 corydoras catfish.
But one of the boys appears to be bullying the males (not the females) and nipping at the two prettiest ones tails.
We've noticed the displaying for about a week now, and the nipping we only just noticed tonight.
We're considering rehoming him because he's bullying them so much, is it the right thing to do or does anyone else have some other advice on what we should do?

 

No guarantees in this hobby but sometimes just quarantining a fish that bullies can change his attitude after a few days or weeks. If there is no physical damage you might be able to wait it out in community. More females likely wouldn't hurt. I have even had females bully other females, but they normally work things out.

 

Just a follow up to this, the guppies sorted themselves out after a couple more days and are now back to normal, might have just been working out who was "top" fish.

 

Guppies do need to establish a pecking order. But just be aware of the situation some males in my admittedly limited experience cannot live with one and other.

I have had to separate my males into smaller groups that would live peacefully with one and other. Hopefully this will not be the case with you.

 

Guppy's are also known as 'millions fish' and for a good reason. In a tank that size you'll soon triple your numbers. You might want to put some crowd control in there soon. I use Betta splendens (Siamese Fighting Fish) as they have similar tank life expectancy (around 2 years).
