Congrats. If you want more to survive (normally they have between 15-20) perhaps try adding some dense plants. Just a thought. Congrats on being a guppy-grandma

I'm researching guppy breeding now. I want to start breeding soon. Everything I read says Java Moss and a few more dense plants are best.

Also, if you are looking at breeding them, I would remove Momma and any other non baby guppies, as they will eat the fry.

You're right. Java moss, guppy grass, java fern (for the root systems if you put it around something with a hollow inside, like a small decorative boat, etc, the roots will cover the outside and the fish babies can hide on the inside. ) We put small swordplants in pots with top soil and rocks on top in with our guppies also, which provides plenty of bacteria surface as well as tons of areas for the fish to hide. (when doing waterchanges if you use that method make sure not to take water level low enough to have the top of the pot exposed, fish will hide in there and be left out of water if not careful.)

Oh, thanks Chief!!!

That's a very cool idea. I've been trying to figure ways of keeping the fish happy. I'll have to get a few boats or something.
