I have a 10 gallon with 6 guppies in it! My male, 2 adult females, and 4 juvenile females! I love watching them zip around, it's super relaxing!

The breeder net came today,, peenom is now all happy in her new temporary home (I decorated it to make her feel more at home and comfortable). It's amazing how much less stressed and happier she looks. (Btw, I did find out the guppy fry is a she).

They all look like females until they get older. From the pictures it still looks a little young to tell for sure. I breed guppies and take them into the lfs for credit. Here's one of my make babies at 2 months 4 days old. I caught him sleeping and got pictures while he was still groggy otherwise these things are just to fast to get nice pictures normally.

I’m still waiting for mine to mature fully also! I hope mine come out to be pretty like this one! I have few getting color now, some red. Some black some with similar tails like this one. Still waiting patiently though!

You can tell by the shape of the analfin (all livebearers are like that) . Here is a couple references.

The problem with guppies is that all fry have a triangle-shaped anal fine until they get older. I've accidentally put slow-developing males in with my females since they hadn't gotten a pointed fin yet.

I do, I just love them....they are super active and really make you lose self control when they beg for food, i just have to remember not to give in for their own good but yeah they're so fun, they bend their bodies and stuff and really put on a show for you when you get close to them...so cute

Oh, I didn’t know about all that, very informative. I was just told that’s how you tell genders with live bearers and it has worked thus far.

I don’t think it really mattered anyways though cause she has grown up now and is indeed a girl.

Well, most people who have a tank with livebearers don't know this. So basically, no problem. No worries... ! Even the commercial trade call these ovoviviparous livebeares just viviparous. But that would be incorrect.

But what does bother me in the commercial trade is when a relevant company which calls itself a "specialist", is calling all livebearers viviparous. To me this shows ignorance instead of professional knowledge.

You've got some nice cobras there... Specifically the last two pics...
But the male in the first pic is no endler. Sorry! But he's a looker...

I love guppies, just wish they weren't do frail. They need to cross breed a new fish with guppy colors that is more harty!
