20 Gallon Tank Guppies nipping at Betta.

Hello fishkeepers,
I have heard of bettas attacking guppies and sometimes the other way around, and that's what's happening in my 20 gallon. I have 6 male guppies, 5 danios and a betta and the guppies are nipping his fins and the betta has no way to fight back. I don't know what to do at this point and I don't have other tanks, got the guppies a few days ago and I think 2 guppies are being nipped as well.

Best to get the betta out. This is part of the whole "have a back-up plan" when trying to keep a betta with other fish. I doubt things will get much better.

Maybe you could looking to a tank divider.

Unless I use the 5 gallon with my 2 platies in my basement, there's nothing else. The behaviour has seemed to pause

That would be better than nothing!

isin't it too small?
I honestly think maybe, but it is better than them being over run with guppies!

Can you return the more aggressive guppies to the lfs?

I don't think so... but now they're in the 5 gallon, doing well... and now the platies are nipping at him. Is there some way to toughen him up or something?

No, they'll kill him. Put the guppies in the community tank and the betta in the 5.

The danios chase the guppies.
Well I have been thinking about putting the betta in the 5, still thinking ab it tho
Edit: He was already moved from the 5 gal a few months ago, I don't wanna stress him out again

I doubt if this aggression is going to die down. You have too many fish that can't get along in the tanks you have. The stress is going to kill your fish.

Should I put the guppies in the 20 and the betta in the 5?

I think that might be the better option, 5 gallons is a good size for bettas

Well, it's the minimum size but I guess it's good for him
I'll remake my 5 gallon and buy some more plants
