This may be premature, but hopefully no one will find it in bad taste for me to post now just in case. Due to personal complications I may need to get rid of my tanks, should this happen I would like my babies to go to other enthusiasts, such as those on fish lore.

Please keep in mind that these guys will only be available if it turns out that I DO need to get rid of them... I would like to have something set up in advance so that if it happens rather abruptly I'll know there's interest. For now, please just leave a comment with what you're interested in and if you would like to, how much you'd be willing to send to help compensate for my losses.

I will attempt deliveries (I can not guarantee live arrival, I will do my best but I have never shipped fish before), and local pick up is also available. If fish are DOA please contact me within 4 hours of delivery to work out an agreeable resolution.

Here is what I'm thinking. People can comment if there's any interest with something like:

I'm interested in x number/color of y fish, for this much + shipping.

When I know for sure whether or not the fish will need to be rehomed I will return to this thread and either:

a. announce that the fish need to go, PM interested parties to get their addresses and payment info
b. announce that I do not have to give up my babies, thank everyone that responded for their interest and hope no one is upset about the time lost.

I hate doing this without knowing already, but I already know that if they have to go they will have to go IMMEDIATELY so I can't afford to delay in finding them potential homes. If there is no or little interest, the remaining will be left at my local Petco for adoption.

FISH:

I have photos of ALL of my fish and can assure fine health in all but two (just arrived today)

Local pet store fish: Pet Supplies Plus, two Petco locations

10 black neon tetras - (horsin1787)

1 female red and yellow tailed fancy guppy
3 otocinclus
1 baby betta - purchased in February

If you're interested in the name or any information about the seller of above fish, please let me know.

I will have an equipment and plants list up soon as well.

Edit: ALSO please note I have recently won several auctions on aquabid, and although I plan to request sellers refund my money and keep their undelivered fish, if you're interested in ANY of those please ask for further information. I will request the sender mail them to you instead if you're interested in reimbursing me for the winning bid amounts.

with the exception of a school of DWARF DANIOS all aquabid wins are fancy guppies (or plants!)

I'd be interested in the BN. But would haf to wait. 2 Snails were dead in my tank, have to stabilize it first.
So.

I'm interested in 1 of the BN pleco , for this much ($3.99)* + $6.99 shipping

* If to low, tell me.

I'd be interested in your male guppies if you end up having to rehome them.
Been meaning to start the 40 gal anyways.
I hope it isn't necessary though. Its hard to give up your babies.
Edit: Also interested in the baby betta.
Edit 2: I'm really bad at offers too. Not sure of the average worth of guppies offhand, so Id have to get back to you. I'm on my phone at work, so its tough to google stuff. Lol

I'm sorry to hear you have to maybe give them up. I would be interested in the ottos and Black neons though if you do need to. I'm terrible at offers so please let me know if you need more as I may still be interested. $20 plus shipping. I have paypal. If the first guy decides he doesn't want the BN pleco, I would also be interested in that one.

I hope you don't have to find homes for them though.

I also hope it isn't necessary.

I would take some guppies, but for some reason EVERY guppy I get is aggressive.

They just don't like me

You may be in luck either way, I have been considering giving the BN up even before this... I feel I should warn you it's mostly because of aggression, I wouldn't risk housing with a betta (or similar) ever again.

Is he aggressive to everything or like semI aggressive where He'll attack anything that fits in his mouth?

He shredded my betta's tail until he died, I have reason to believe they were squabbling over territory, so when the betta was resting at night he would be attacked. Once the betta was removed the pleco claimed all territories in my tank (barrel decor, driftwood and PVC pipe)... since my betta is the ONLY fish that claims territory that was housed with the pleco I can only guess that the reason is related.

There has been no issue with the schooling neons and guppies (even one lone guppy without a school for 'protection' was left alone).

I have some cory cats. May cause some problems. Will have to think about it.

Do you have any other bottom dwellers?

Does the pleco harass them?

Oh! They're in a different tank, he's only lived with the fish I listed above (betta, male guppies, black neon tetras). As he's only lived with ONE betta it really could have been a one time thing but I didn't feel safe risking it so my baby has his own tank.

I thought you were asking to see about maybe taking them instead... no, I stick to one bottom dweller type per tank.

Oh sorry, just trying to assess whether the BN Pleco would be too in my tank.

I would honestly only be concerned if you have a territory claiming fish that would want to hide in spaces that the pleco lays claim to. Obviously it's your choice either way, I couldn't really make a suggestion without knowing your stock and tank layout. Whether or not it's worth the risk (from my POV) would depend on how many places your cories have to go.

Hey guys,

I updated the post to include an equipment and plants list. Again I can't promise anything on the list because I will be trying to keep what I can and seeing if a friend can take at least some of it, but feel free to show interest in something so that I can have things in place should it come to that.

Thanks again everyone!

And yes, unless your comments include what you're looking for OR a PHOTO REQUEST, please PM me for further information about items or animals in question - like Ken said.

No word yet about needing to give up my aquariums. I'm going to at this point hope that I'm safe...

At the moment I am planning to send my bristlenose pleco and black neon tetras out to those interested.

I also have plenty of snails if anyone would like some of those:

plenty of pond snails, some ramshorns, and suspected mystery snails (haven't seen any, but some eggs that fit their laying behavior.) Might also be getting some MTS, but that's not definite yet.

My guppies and little betta are my babies though, so without the NEED to get rid of them, I'll be keeping that whole crew

Thanks to everyone that did comment or PM me.

Closing this thread, as I'm no longer looking for buyers. Should that change I'll make a new update.

Thanks again everyone
