My swordtails started breeding and i got a grand total of
this is the first batch of fry so hopefully they increase in no of fry produced lol
They probably ate most of them, but congratulations!!
5 to 10 years
If you have some good hiding places in the tank, you may have more than two. I frequently don't see much of the new fry in my breeding tank until they're a month or so old (they start showing themselves more readily once they're past snack-size for the adults).
Mine will hide in the Java moss, they hide between and under the top substrate stones (they're river-pebble size), they hide in the dwarf rosette sword and the rhizome-roots of the anubias. Anywhere that the adults can't easily see or get to them.
Well i have a cemented tank full of plants plus my climate is more warm as i live in India i still feel they may have not eaten cause as far as i know i used to keep swordtails they gave only 2 first time then they gave like 10 plus in sec spawning which are now adults
