GSA on Acrylic

I have a lot of GSA growing on an 45g acrylic and wanted to find a way to safely scrape off the algae. What scrapers do you guys recommend? Would a mag float be effective or are magnet scrapers too weak to tackle GSA?

I wouldn't use any magnetic cleaners on an acrylic tank they'd be very likely to scratch it.
You can get special sponge scrapers for acrylic tanks that work quite well though be careful if you have sand substrate as any specks of sand will scratch the acrylic.

Oh yea sand isn't a problem the substrate is river stone. Reason why I asked about magnetic is mag float has one marketed for acrylic tanks. Not sure if it's any safer or better than a plastic scraper.
