Growing Underwater Plants

I thought I needed some decoration for my desk, and I thought and underwater garden would be cool. I took a half gallon Betta tank and bought Betta bulbs. There bulbs that you put in the gravel (I guess, didn't come with directions.) I was wondering if anyone has ever tried them, and if anyone knows how to grow them.

 

Never heard of betta bulbs but have used the dried bulbs you get in little packages at places like Walmart. Those you just plant half way down in the substrate and wait for them to sprout. My experience is that the can get quite large. Keep a check on them and if any get squisky or soft in any way get it out of your tank. HTH
