Greenhouse tanks

SouthAmericanCichlids

So my mom is getting a year round green house (Possibly) and wants to use the water and poop from my tank and wants me to set up a few bins out there. I already found some bins that I can use. But now I'm thinking about filtration and want to do one large filter, so I'm going to get a garbage bin to place in the corner space (That's unusable for my mom's plants, because there isn't a good way for her to get back there. So would I be able to just have hose that flow down to the bin and then flow through some lava rocks to a reservoir at the bottom and have a pump, pumping the water back up to the tanks. Would this work as kind of a wet-dry filter? I have a really powerful pump, and I'd just have to do the math to see how much water needs to flow from the bins to match the mount being pumped back up.

In theory yes. I've seen a lot of people do this sort of filter for ponds in the past. There are a few tutorials on youtube if you're looking for help.

How would I be able to distribute the water between the tanks?
