Hey all. Need a guy check on what to do. I have a pair of beautiful green terrors. Problem is that they are literally terrorizing their tank mates. They are in with a medium size flowerhorn, a Jack Dempsey, and a good size Oscar. I thought with those other big abrasive fish they would not boss the tank around bit it's getting bad.

She if getting rid of them I think my only option is to split them up.

Any other suggestions? They are s OK amaIng togrther and I'd feel bad seperating them but I am not sure I have much of q choice. What I don't want is to separate them and still have the male bossing around the tank.

Any question please ask.

Thanks.

I separated my female Green Terror out of my large tank because she was killing juvenile Severums. I decided to give her a cave and put her in with my flowerhorn( friendly fella) and she decided she would try to kill him. It didn’t work out well for her so she went in a tank all by herself but that made her miserable, it was so sad so I gave her to my mom and pop LFS. There wasn’t much of an option. I think if you get one that is a “terror” your going to have to find stock that will work because it will kill or be killed. This is just from my experience.

Thanks so much. That is exactly what my fear is. Was going to move the female to my 125 tank with some red severums, three beautiful ebjd and some smaller parrot fish but this makes me pause. The male is too big for them I fear. He's a good size. Seems like he's the aggressor but she is deff nasty. Hmmmmm what to do what to do.

It is no fun when they act like this. They are so beautiful and my girl was fine up until about 5” then she wanted to murder everyone. I have 5 of her babies and I am hoping one of them is not psycho. I always say to my fish, why can’t everyone just get along! LOL

Yeah it's like after a fee breeding cycles she just chases everything. An Oscar 3x her size cowers in fear. Sounds like moving her to the other tank would be q disaster so it's either move the pair into their own tank or rehome them. fudge cookies

Yup that sound like the two options you have
I wish I could give you better advice but nothing seemed to work with my girl.
