Greedy Platies Eat Bolivian Rams’ Food

If there’s a better place to post this thread, let me know! I’m not exactly a beginner but have never had this problem before.

I’ve had my Bolivian Rams for a week now but I’m having trouble making sure they get enough food, because my platies and mollies beat them to everything. I’ve tried frozen blood worms, sinking pellets and veggie wafers (crushed up), as well as soaking flake food so that it sinks. The Rams go to eat the food as it’s sinking, but the platies and mollies are too fast and brave and gobble it all up, so the Rams only get a very small amount of food.

    I’m worried about 2 things:

    1. The Rams aren’t getting enough to eat

    2. The platies and mollies are getting too much to eat

Does anyone have any suggestions of how to fix this problem?

    Thank you in advance!

Try removing the most aggressive mollies and platies.

Or, you can just hold the food at the filter outflow so it gets blown over all of the aquarium.
