Gravel vac & Baby Shrimp???

So how do I gravel vac my 10G with tiny baby shrimp in it?
This morning I was cleaning my 10G and suddenly I notice all these tiny baby shrimp inside the tube!!!!! I immediately turned off the water and got them out. Then I proceeded to just suction water out of the tank.
How am I supposed to gravel vac my tank without sucking up baby shrimp?

 

I siphon into a bucket to keep from losing baby shrimp. I use a white 5 gallon bucket, so the babies show up easily.

 

I was thinking of putting pantyhose over the gravel vac, but then I was thinking that might make it so it doesn't clean anything. I don't know.

 

If you are only removing water, that would work.
If you are removing debris, it won't.

 

I use the fish net material over the siphon.
