hI guys just reading all available info but it seems this one is a new one. I am about ready to go into a fishless cycle. I have an old tank that has been sitting outside in the weather for about 2-3 weeks now and was wondering if the gravel in this tank would still be alive to help me with the new and improved 85g I am about to kick off with?? The gravel is currently half submersed in rain water only. also would it be a problem to add a couple of scoops of this weathered gravel to an already established guppy tank (10g). the new 85g is completely brand new incl. gravel orniments heater filter...

its best to ask first I believe
slow and steady wins the race!!!!

The bacteria hasn't had anything to feed it so it is dead in the old tank, but it won't hurt to use it just rinse any trash out of it.
