In a few words, can you explain the symptoms? Hiding, swollen belly, not eating for 1 week now, opening and closing mouth a lot while resting

How has its behavior and appearance changed, if at all? She is usually quite social and always ate when fed but hasn’t eaten anything in a week and keeps moving her mouth even while resting

Explain your emergency situation in detail.
She has a visibly swollen belly, mostly on one side, and has been hiding/resting a lot plus hasn’t eaten or tried to eat once in the last week

do you have a picture? I had a honey gourami with same behavior after too much sinking pellet I fed frozen daphnia and she had a long poop (literally) and pulled through. A pic may help though.

Could be sinking pellets that she had eaten…
Hope pics help. I’ll have to see if I can get some frozen daphnia for her

Okay. I can try to get more pics tomorrow. Is there any way to help if that’s what it is?

I don’t believe so. I think I’d try the daphnia still can’t hurt and your other fish will love it too. I guess if it just showed up quickly maybe a tumor wouldn’t make as much sense. Sorry, I guess I don’t really have a great answer, but that’s what I’m thinking and what I’d try. Hoping she pulls through!

I got some daphnia on Sunday and it seems like she’s feeling a lot better already
