gourami attacking two balloon Molly's

HI I'm newer to keeping an aquarium. I cycled my tank, a 13gl and got a gourami, then waited a little to get two mollies. I've had my gourami for about a week and my mollies since yesterday. My gourami start to attack them immediately. And one of there fins is all tourn up. I got some more plants and changed up the tank today (I took him out when doing this.) in hopes to solve what I thought might be a territory thing. But when I put him back in he what straight for them.
HELP!

 

It's probably because the tank is overstocked, I believe dwarf gourami a need a 20+ and mollies need a 29+. I suggest either upgrading to a 29+ or rehoming them. What type of gourami is it? Also welcome to the forum.

Do you have a breeder box? If you do you can put him in there. If not you can put him in a rinsed(no soap) rubble ware with the lid loosely on(just on top, not actually closed on) and float him at the top of the tank.

 

If you actual have an Opaline gourami then your 13 gal tank is way to small. Opaline gourami can grow up to 6". I have two in my 65 gallon.

If you plan on keeping him in there till you find him another home I suggest buying a breeder, that way he has filtration. Otherwise I'd change the water in the bubble ware 50% every a with tank water. No problem, glad I was able to help.
