WOW I am completely impressed with this doc! Most don't talk to you on the phone and I called the docs office to make sure his view of the ultrasound and my labs were what I gathered of them (everything perfect!) The nurse put him on the phone and he said the ultrasound was perfect, very healthy baby!
Then he went on about my lab work, my iron count itself is low and he put me on a separate iron pill on top of the prenatal vitamins I am taking.
I have chronic anemia so I am not surprised by that (its genetic).

I cannot belive I have a Doc that friendly, he had the samples of the iron supplement at his office and told me to send my husband up when he was at work (in the same town) and he would give them to him. The cool thing, he showed my husband the lab work as well! So he being a paramedic and me being RRT we both knew that it was okay.

My 3 year old son keeps saying "baby sister" and brought me the disk w/ the ultrasound on it and said "baby girl"... Wonder if he has a hunch??

Everything is perfect! I am so happy!

That's pretty cool. I worked for an ob/gyn for many years. It was routine for them to return all patients calls during their lunch and after office hours.
They would take emergency calls at anytime.
I loved that group of docs and midwives. It came in handy to work for my ob/gyn during my pregnancies and deliveries.

My last 2 ob/gyn groups were never this friendly. They would give lab results over the phone but nothing in detail, and I would have to wait to talk to the OB on my visit.
My last OB nurses did give me info over the phone (the ones who knew me personally where I worked at that same hospital).

I have to give this DR up at 28 weeks, the hospital where he is working slowly to get an OB unit, but won't be fast enough for the baby. I am going to a brand new hospital in Knox that was built with "women" services in mind. They are supose to be great, as long as my baby rooms in and never leaves my sight, I get a EPIDURAL that works like the last delivery, and is good to me I will be happy. I actually let a resident put my epI in the last time, he was the "head" resident though, and compeltly nervous about doing it. I guess when you know the docs at work and residents personally like that it does ad a nervous factor, I will say though it was awesome, I didn't feel a thing. I am wanting to go back to that hospital for this baby but my insurance doesn't pay as good, I have to use my husbands hospial system.
That delivery was just like the ones you see on tv, everyone is calm, no pain,no screaming. I was talking about clothes to my mom up to the last contraction before I started pushing and joking around w/ her until I had Carson. It was awesome! I just can hope that this one will be just like the last delivery.

I won't talk about the first, it was a small hospital, w/ only one doc to do epi's and one OB and they gave me my epI when it was time to push, they just didn't check first, I FELT EVERYTHING! Bad experience, never will I go to a small hospital again to have a child!
