Got our first Cory’s today, and more…

BPSabelhaus

Picked up a free planted aquarium with Cory’s, snails and a lot of plants.

Actually, today I picked up two aquariums worth of stock plus an aquarium lol.

The aquarium had 5-6 Cory in it already, plus a bag containing another 4-5 plus two French blue Endlers and more snails… lol

Tank is settling / clearing up and the fish are coming out of hiding a bit. Barely see any aside from giant snails and Endlers, but I know it’s way overstocked. Once I know what I have, I’ll be putting some up for adoption (local, Seattle area. Not a fan of shipping). But for now, fishies!

Was told that one might be pregnant as well, so that too lol.

I guess? To be honest, I don’t know much about them. Was told peppered Cory’s, but mine have long fins which I assume is just a selected breeder trait.

How interesting so you have a mix of the short and long finned?

MacZ

Yes, these are C. paleatus. And one is of the veil-fin variety, a tankbred domestic form.

:shrugs:

lol
Tank is clearing up nicely after taking out some plants, knocking crud off leafs etc….
Snapped a pic this morning before going to work (ugh, two whole days in a row of a job I enjoy, it’s torture!). Last night they kind of schooled by sex so I think I have an idea of what I have now. 2 females and 6-7 males.

Found a horned nerite in the tank, so that got moved to the mangrove tank along with 6 of the cappuccino Devil spikes as they like brackish water. Moved the Endlers and some mystery snails to the kiddos tank. So, stocking should be better right? RIGHT????!!! lol

Zero shame I tell ya!
