have you tried pets at home magoo they do Nerites snails!!!!! genarally with the bettas all cooped up I hate to see the bettas there especially the female there is about 6 in a 1L cube I hate it

That's where I got flash and dot from they didn't even have a label and they were next to assassin snails and the assassins were moving in so I had to get them in all good conscience I've not seen them since. I'm going to ask my very good LFS if they can get me some like Junne's tigers they are so pretty.
Thanks for the link too I'll check it out

Have your snails started to behave yet?
Did the ceran wrap work?

Junne:
What about glueing some kind of net or mesh to the inside top of the tank?
That could prevent the snail from getting out...
If you glued the net to the filter in a way that the top hood would rest on in, when closed, it would sort of 'seal' the exit for the snails, but it wouldn't be hermetic. So there could still be gas exchange (O2 >< CO2) at the water surface...

Thanks for the tip although the mesh sounds good I am trying to avoid gluing or taping anything - The opening is a weird shape so right now I just have plastic saran wrap on it. It seems to have stayed in place overnight, the steam/humidity kind of sealed itself. I think this will be the least invasive way until my "Dippin dots" behave themselves....

Funny... I noticed this morning that one of my "dippin dots" was racing to get to the top of the tank - probably so I wouldn't notice that it was actually in the water.....
Don't know how long he was in there but the other 3 were perched in the same position as they were last night....

I just bought to zebra's today. They are more fun than I thought. However, after reading this thread, I just got out of bed and used electrical tape and plastic wrap to close the openings around the filter. I would have never thought of it. Time to try to get some sleep and not worry about what's all going on in the tanks. Thanks for the heads up.

They are little rascals and love to go in my filter ( still ) but since I have been putting out the veggies, they have been staying more in the water... I think that's the key....
I know several of them when I first got them stayed out of the water for about 3 days
