Got a new eclipse catfish are they compatable with ghost shrimp

    If it's big enough to fit the shrimp in its mouth then it will likely eat them.

    Mine is about 4 inches long. But like fishkeeper21 said if they can fit it in their mouth they will eat it.

    I did have mine in my tank with my other fish and he never bothered them but we got another catfish and he does eat fish so that's why they have their own tank and now he eats fish too. He didn't eat small fish until i put him with the other catfish though.

    I also agree, most any catfish will eat most anything that they can fit in that mouth.
    Heck I catch catfish with bars of soap and green grapes.

    If the cat is small enough they will be just fine with shrimp till they start to grow out some.
