Good Size Betta Tank?

Hello. I am unsure if this tank is too small for betta. I’m planning to get a heater, leaf hammock and moss balls soon. I’m not sure what size gallon is this (looks like a 5 gallon?) But once I have the money I’ll upgrade to a 20 gallon. I want my betta to be happy and live a long life. P.S I use a minI Christmas tree for scale if that helps.

A 5 gallon tank is fine 10 is ideal for only a betta and possibility some shrimp or snails.

If I had to guess by looking at the size and proportions, I'd say it's probably a standard 5.5. If you measure the dimensions you should be able to compare them to standard size aquarium dimensions listed online.

That said, you don't strictly speaking need a tank bigger than a 5.5 for a betta, but if you feel like providing one then I'm sure he'd appreciate it.

Looks like a 3-5 gallon tank, which is great for betta fish. They need at least a 2.5 gallon.
