I'm looking to plant the heck out of my aquarium, we're talking like barely being able to see the substrate here. What can I put in the tank that will carpet nicely but won't overgrow quickly or choke out my other plants? Right now I have some anacharis, primroses, and a Java fern. I already know I don't want dwarf hairgrass or micro swords. I'm on a bit of a budget as well, don't know if that matters.

Thanks

Yea staurogyne repens is awesome check some images on google of some people with this in their tank! It's beautiful and it does grow slow. You can trim it back I hear aswell so you can control the carpet
