Not until today did I realize some plants are low light and some need more. I have some Amazon swords, a grass, some hornwort and who knows what else. SOmeone just gave me a 40 gallon tank with everything but a light. It has a nice, glass, hinged cover. I'm clueless. I read the lighting review thread and wound up totally confused. I don't have a lot of money to spend. Suggestions?

Is it bright enough that I'd be able to see clearly?

Here's my 40b with the Beamswork DA dimmed a bit from full bright. The light runs very warm at full bright so the dimmer serves 2 purposes. Just a touch off full bright keeps it cooler and it's not blindly bright.

Great tank! That's just the effect I was going for. I'm ordering. :)
