Good grief....

I took my son to the doctor this morning and noticed that the fish tank in the waiting room had quite a few fish in it (it had been empty the last couple times we were there) so naturally I wandered over to look. I certainly didn't expect to find in what I believe is a 30 gal high: 6 goldfish, 3 angelfish, two rainbow sharks, 2 pearl gouramis, 3 blood parrots, and a pleco that had to be every bit of 12 inches long! And as if that isn't bad enough, the blood parrots had ich on them.

I would offer to buy the tank off them personally. I've done it before, lol.

Divefanatic - unfortunately anything I might say would fall on deaf ears. It's all I can do to get these people to actually fax prescriptions into the pharmacy. Plus I'm not really knowledgeable enough to start a discussion like that :-\

Amanda - if only I could! Even if I could and did, I guarantee they'd just go out and buy another tank and do it all again.

Maybe you could print off some profiles and ich treatment?

In a children's waiting room? Nice, let's teach the kids about death! Unreal.

That's a good idea.

Not to mention starting the "Mommy I want a fish!" tantrum that then leads to children getting goldfish and bettas in bowls

I have to admit, seeing that pleco was pretty awesome (but sad also). I've never seen one that large in person before.
