Im setting up a 55 gallon and want to lightly plant it with low light plants such as Amazon swords, java moss, baby tears, and java fern. What's a good cheap light that will work for these plants

Amazon swards are a medium to high light plant if you only use low light it may not grow just stay where it's at or worse die.

That's untrue. I have just an led lamp on a 10 gallon with amazon swords and they grow pretty good.

30 watts for a 10 gallon would do it so that's why yours are growing good.
