Hello.

I’m new to keeping plants and I was looking for a good all in one fertiliser. Everyone seems to recommend Thrive and Easy Green but these don’t seem to be available in the UK and cost a fortune shipping from the US.

I have a 58 litre tank.
Lights are LED 18VDC/ 8W/ 6300K (lights came with tank)
Plants include:
Echinodorus Midifleur,
Lobelia Cardinalis Dwarf,
Lilaeopsis novea-zealandia,
Bacopa Monnieri. (I was told all would grow in a low light tank).

Plants have been in situ for 2 weeks now with no added ferts as I was told by my lfs they wouldn’t be needed. I have noticed plants are starting to look a bit yellow/brown in places.

Substrate is Aqua Terra plus capped with AquaShrimp powder.

Any help would be great.
Thanks

Aquascaper complete liquid plant food
It was developed by George Farmer, a professional aquascaper in the UK. He runs a really informative and inspirational youtube channel, I highly recommend checking it out

Osmocote. The solid ferts tend to last longer than liquid, but make sure you bury them about 2cm down in the substrate as they can cause ammonia spikes.

Thanks Mak. I have watched your video regarding ferts and your knowledge just blew me away lol. I wanted to start with an all in one fert until I get a better understanding of what my tanks require. Do you believe Aquascaper complete will cover most basis reguarding macro and micro nutrients? Thanks

Thanks LiterallyABetta. I hadn’t even thought of a solid fert. I will defiantly do some research into these. Just a bit mind blowing all the different options on the market and trying to work out what will work best.

Aaah thanks! I do believe it will. While I don't think the nutrient analysis is publicly available like the other fertilizers I went over, George has stated in his videos that it has both macros and micros, including N and P, and anybody who does aquascaping as a serious hobby/profession knows that you can't exclude anything from your dosing regime. He also uses it in his own tanks and I think the results speak for themselves!

Thank you so much. They sell it on Amazon uk and it cost £14:95 with free delivery . I will have a look at a few of George Farmers YouTube videos now. You have made me feel a lot more confident in buying a liquid fert and for that I thank you
